The Wine Stay’s entire team remains fully committed to supporting our guests as much as possible and have created this page to keep you updated on the latest developments that impact our area or may affect your vacation rental stay with us. This includes what we’ve implemented in a proactive effort to keep you safe, any changes to our policies, and where to find additional resources.

Ensuring Professional Cleaning Standards
Your safety continues to be, and has always been, one of our top priorities. We are taking proactive measures that go beyond The Wine Stay’s already high cleaning standards, including placing a 72 hour hold between guests and providing certified cleans for our guests.
As a quick overview, we are ensuring guidelines provided by the CDC are being adhered to and have confirmed that the products being used to disinfect each of our vacation rentals will remove 99.99% of microscopic organisms on surfaces. Our housekeeping teams are experienced and trained to both vigorously clean and disinfect all hard and soft surfaces at every vacation home — including, but not limited to countertops, sinks, faucets, appliances, doorknobs, and floors.
To elevate our cleaning standards even more, the certification program that has been implemented requires our housekeepers to provide even more documentation on what was completed during each clean. Upon arrival, our guests will now find a signed cleaning certificate within every home, which includes a confirmation of all the areas that have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Guest Information and Reservations
We’re currently excepting short-term vacation rentals and longer monthly rentals. If you have questions about staying safe while you’re making the journey from home to the wine country, we’ve put together a comprehensive article with various resources for planning your next getaway here.
As of September 24, 2020, California has no statewide travel restrictions. However, some state and local governments still have requirements in place.
Many wineries, restaurants, and activities have also re-opened. Keep in mind there may be certain guidelines you must adhere to — like making a reservation in advance, wearing a mask until seated, and maintaining distance between others. Additionally, per guidelines by the State of California on July 13, some establishments are permitted to only have outdoor areas open. We simply recommend contacting the businesses, restaurants, or wineries you’d like to visit or experience before heading out to make sure they have availability.

Flexible cancellation and credit policies
In response to the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, we temporarily revised our booking and cancellation policies to ensure our guests had more time to make travel decisions. As the situation escalated, we waived all change fees for reservations arriving before July 30, 2020. If a reservation arrival date fell before that date, we provided a 100% credit for a stay at another time later in 2020 or sometime in 2021. In other words, the entire amount that was paid will be applied as a credit to a new reservation.
This temporary policy change ended on July 20, 2020. For all arrivals after August 1, 2020, our standard payment and cancellation policy went back into effect for all existing bookings, and credits will no longer be issued for non-refundable payments.

For those who are considering making a new vacation rental reservation, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance as it offers coverage should you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a number of covered reasons. CSA Travel Protection Policies are offered when you make your reservation and can be purchased up until your final payment. If you have questions about this, please let us know.
Monthly Vacation Rentals for Luxury Self-Isolation
We’ve seen an increased demand for long term rentals this year as many leave densely populated areas to find an escape in more isolated locations. Those people are finding that vacation homes are a sensible option for a time like this. Unlike a hotel that can have hundreds of people in close proximity, a vacation rental offers a unique sanctuary in a private space to enjoy time away with your family.
